Flatbed Ute tray for my Overland Tundra? Hmm.
Переглядів 3354 місяці тому
Im wanting to start using my previous Overland Tundra build more this summer, instead of the Sequoia. This means some prep work is much needed! Rust has always been an issue with the Tundra since I purchased it, and its finally time to take care of the back half. Some bed repair would be needed, but I've been contemplating building a DIY flatbed for the Tundra. What do you think? //The Adventur...
My $110 DIY Welding Table
Переглядів 2,2 тис.8 місяців тому
In this video, I built a DIY Welding Table using the cast iron top of a Craftsman Table Saw I picked up off of Facebook Marketplace. Trying to use as many parts as I can, and a plan to sell things like the Fence, this project cost me $110. If you find a similar saw, you can do similar for $130 or less. //The Adventurous Mind - advmnd.us My Outdoor Apparel Brand & Free Digital Downloads - 25% pr...
The best budget 3D scanner in 2023 / 2024? Einstar Scanner Review
Переглядів 60 тис.9 місяців тому
I was on the hunt for the best budget 3D scanner to add to my garage in 2023. After a lot of research and years of waiting, I discovered the Einstar 3D Scanner from Shining 3D. It fit my budget, but seemed like it did a better job scanning cars and trucks than the comparible Revopoint and Creality scanners under $1000. Is it worth it to add to the toolbox? Installing a snorkel on your 1st Gen Sequoia
Переглядів 3,8 тис.Рік тому
ARB discontinued their specific Safari Snorkel for the 1st gen Sequoia. The only way to get one now is using a snorkel from a 100 series Land Cruiser. Fortunately for us, this Land Cruiser Snorkel is $130 at the time of filming this video. See the link below for the current Amazon price. I have seen is range from $100-150. There are a few different videos on how to install this, so I made sure ...
Does your 1st Gen Sequoia wander? Eimkeith PCK Install
Переглядів 2,3 тис.Рік тому
Ever since I installed my lift, I have always had to fight the wheel to keep it going straight. This is where the Eimkeith PCK helps on the Sequoias and others. This happens when you lift the rear and suspension geometry changes. The Rear panhard bar angle needs to be corrected to be more level. Some 1st gen Sequoias dont have this issue, while others, like myself have this issue with mild lift...

CHEEEEEESEBURGERRRRR!!! I've been working trying to get a 3D print made out similar to yours but have yet to get the perfect curvature of the the top of the dash. I ended up just buying a stick on mount, but with the heat wave happening last few weeks it's been peeling/falling off. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity, wish everyone best of luck on this!

This is such a great and simple design!! Having two mounting options is also a bonus. Well thought out and executed! I’ve kicked around buying one of the other screw mounted options from others out there, but just didn’t really like the design or the idea of drilling through the dash…. at least at first before making sure that I actually like it enough to hard mount it with drilling holes and screwing it down. Well done sir, what else can you come up with?! 😂 CHEESEBURGER!!!

"Drill option" is a better choice for those wanting to use longer arm supports where "leverage" would need to be considered.

Thanks! And I agree. Most people do light things anyways, where it’s not really needed. Only down side is I didn’t get to do any long term testing on the no drill option. But at least it doesn’t harm anything for people to test it out. Hopefully I’ll get some feedback from others who run it!

I don´t believe the software problem coming from insuffizient memory. I faced the same problems in the past with my 128 GB machine at 18 core CPU and plenty of SSD space. I tend to believe that the problem comes from the type of Nvidia card used in the system.

Great video! Thank you! I've been preparing to build a drawer system for my 80 series, I considered adding a pocket for a foldable table but I don't want to lose drawer height for storage. Do you have a link or information about those organizer bins that fit inside your larger drawer? Those look great!

Have creality fixed their software, if not I'm still skeptical

    • @DigitalLee
      @DigitalLee Місяць тому

@@fixerkar If you compare the accuracy of the scanner at the beginning of work and after 1 hour, as it heats up, you will be surprised at how large the error is. As an Einstar owner, I am very disappointed with this scanner, especially after buying the Ender. Yes, Creality has bad software, but Einstar's software is not perfect either - you won't be able to scan a car in 0.2 resolution, the algorithms won't be able to build a mesh. But Ender with its terrible software can do it, and the accuracy of Ender according to my measurements is ultimately higher than that of Einstar.

Hi, 1st thank you for this amazing video. 2ndly, please make a video of when and how you design the bumper. and i still cant understand how it will be made? like pieces of metal and then weld them togather, or will it be a fiberglass one piece. Please explain a little what can one do after this scaning part. thank you.

Great video! Quick question, if someone wanted to carpet the sides of this build as well how would you go about that? Would it make more sense to carpet the front back and sides individually and then assemble? Or assemble the whole thing and then attempt to wrap the carpet around?
